Submission-Guidelines

Author instructions and submission policies for CVWW 2027.

How to submit

Please register and upload your submission as a PDF through the CVWW 2027 CMT submission system. You will be assigned a paper ID when you first register a submission — put that ID into the template before you upload the final PDF.

Submission system

Authors should take into account the CVWW 2027 submission policies below, as well as the detailed instructions given in the example file in the author kit. All papers conforming to these guidelines must be uploaded to the CVWW 2027 CMT submission system by the paper submission deadline.

Remark: The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.

Two tracks

Contributed papers track must present novel work. They are
reviewed, and accepted papers appear in the workshop proceedings. The
proceedings will be published through reposiTUm, the TU Wien repository, under a CC BY 4.0 licence. Authors retain copyright.

Feedback track papers are not published. Instead, experienced researchers read them and offer comments. On the strength of that feedback, authors may be invited to give a talk at the workshop. The track is open to the participating universities and to invited authors — if you are elsewhere and would like to take part, contact the organizers before submitting.

Important: The track can be selected when creating a new paper ID in the CMT submission system.

Format and length

  • Format: A4, two columns, following the author kit. Submit as a PDF, up to 20 MB.
  • Length: 6 to 8 pages, excl. references, i.e., extra pages are allowed only if they contain nothing but references.
  • Language: English.

Double-blind review

The reviewing is double-blind: authors do not learn who reviewed their paper, and reviewers do not know who wrote it. The author kit explains how to prepare an anonymous submission.

Two places where anonymity is commonly broken by accident: acknowledgements, which often name colleagues or grant numbers, and supplementary material, where a video title or an attached preprint can identify you.

Supplementary material

You may optionally upload supplementary material — result videos that will not fit in the paper, anonymised related submissions, or extended proofs and derivations that are not needed to follow the main argument. Everything must be in a single zip file of at most 100 MB.

If you refer to any supplementary material from the paper itself, note that reviewers are not obliged to look at it, so the paper must be self-contained.

Papers rejected without review

A submission will be returned without going to reviewers if it:

  • is outside the 6-8 page range, excluding references
  • breaks the double-blind policy
  • departs significantly from the formatting instructions

Author kit

The author kit contains the official LaTeX template. If you prepare your paper in something other than LaTeX, it is up to you to match the expected layout.

Remark: The author kit is based on the recent CVPR, ICCV and 3DV paper template, following the modernized format adopted by CVWW 2025 (GitHub). CVWW authors should not use templates from previous editions to prepare their
submissions.
