CVWW 2027 takes place at Hotel am Greiner in Rust, on the western shore of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. The talks, meals, and accommodation are generally all in the same building.
Rust
Rust is a small wine town on Lake Neusiedl, first mentioned in 1317 and known for its storks and its sweet Ruster Ausbruch. Its old town, about nine hectares of protected sixteenth- to nineteenth-century houses, is still lived and worked in rather than restored for display, and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2001 as part of the Fertő / Neusiedlersee cultural landscape.
The hotel
The Hotel am Greiner is a short walk from both the lakefront and the old town. Rooms range from doubles on the tower side to rooms on the upper floor with balconies looking over the town toward the lake. Rooms for CVWW 2027 are booked through the workshop, not directly with the hotel.
Between sessions there is an indoor pool, a sauna and a quiet room. Breakfast is a full buffet, and the same kitchen runs the Alte Schmiede restaurant on Seezeile. Wi-Fi is free throughout, and there is parking on site.
